Minco Inc. Supports Kerr County Flood Relief Through United for Kerr County Fund

Company contributes to long-term recovery efforts following devastating Hill Country flooding

Conroe, TX July 21st 2025 – Minco Inc. today announced its contribution to the United for Kerr County Fund, established by United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County to support long-term recovery efforts for individuals and families impacted by recent devastating flooding in Kerr County.

The contribution underscores Minco's commitment to support neighboring communities during times of crisis and reflects the company's core values of community engagement and corporate responsibility.

"The floods that struck Kerr County have created challenges that will extend far beyond the immediate emergency response," said Jim Cheatham Founder at Minco Inc. "We believe it's our responsibility as a Texas company to stand with our neighbors during their time of greatest need. This contribution to the United for Kerr County Fund represents our commitment to supporting the long-term recovery process."

The United for Kerr County Fund, launched July 8, 2025, focuses on four critical areas of long-term support:

  • Long-term housing stabilization for displaced families
  • Access to food and nutritional security
  • Economic recovery assistance for affected individuals and businesses
  • Essential long-term basic needs support

United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County has committed 100% of the fund directly to Kerr County community support, with an initial $100,000 contribution to jumpstart the effort, plus an additional $25,000 for immediate short-term needs.

"Recovery from a disaster of this magnitude requires sustained, coordinated support from the entire community," said Cheatham “While emergency response addresses immediate needs, the real work of rebuilding lives and communities takes months and years. We're proud to support an effort that recognizes this reality."

The fund will provide grants to 501(c)(3) organizations currently providing case management and supportive services to increase housing stability, food security, economic stability, and basic needs support for individuals, families, and first responders impacted by the 2025 Hill Country floods.

Community members interested in supporting the United for Kerr County Fund can make donations at uwsatx.org or by texting KERR to 41444.
